During treatment, the ultrasound created by the transducer is applied to tissue. This precise delivery of HIFU energy to the treatment area causes the targeted tissue molecules to vibrate. Heat is generated due to the friction between molecules, resulting in collagen denaturation and tissue destruction and cavitation.
Frequency determines the rate at which energy is absorbed by the tissue molecules. The higher the frequency, the shorter the wavelength. Shorter wavelengths are the most effective on thinner tissue.
Following two to four treatments, patients see a significant improvement in areas such as the thin, nasolabial folds, cheeks, forehead, knees, upper arms and eyes.

- Dot and linear capabilities. The different cartridges allow for dot and linear shots. Dot shots use temperatures over 65◦c in short duration to provide localised heating and tightening. Linear shots use temperatures over 58◦c to provide bulk heating and eliminate large volumes of fat.
