Dermal fillers are used in cosmetic surgery to improve the appearance of the skin and to fill in skin defects ranging from surface wrinkles to deeper lines

There are many different types of dermal fillers on the market.

The filler we use in this center is made from a natural substance that is found throughout the body. One of its functions is to keep the skin moist and supple. The gel is made from a natural material that provides cushioning and support within the skin.

It is important not to take any anti-inflammatory medications, fish oil or pills containing aspirin for a week prior to treatment to reduce the chance of bruising.

Dermal Filler Procedure

A cream can be applied for 30 minutes first to numb the area, although many of today’s fillers contain local anesthetics
Local anesthesia can also be used, especially when injecting the lips
The dermal filler is injected directly into the skin using the best needles
The procedure takes about half an hour to an hour and is performed in our cosmetic surgery clinic
After we apply some mineral concealer, you can go home immediately or go straight back to work.

After the dermal filler treatment

Do not use oil-based cosmetics or moisturizers for the first 48 hours Do not touch the area with unwashed hands.

Any redness or crusting should subside within 24 to 48 hours.

Notify us of any persistent bumps, redness or itching in the treated area. Bruising may occur, but will subside within a few days.

Expected results of temporary dermal fillers

Improvement is immediate, although a second refill treatment may be required. Results last approximately six months, but can last longer depending on the area of injection and skin type.

A booster or supplemental treatment with dermal fillers or anti-wrinkle treatments is recommended every 6 to 12 months.
