How does it work?
Fotona 4D treatments use four laser modes to revitalise and tighten the skin, with each step having a different effect.
Step 1: SmoothLiftin
Fotona 4D treatments actually start inside the mouth. By applying laser energy to the oral cavity, skin is tightened around the jawline and perioral region, and expression lines, such as nasolabial folds, are reduced.
Step 2: FRAC3
To rejuvenate both the superficial and deeper layers of the skin, a fractionated laser is used to stimulate collagen production and target imperfections such as sunspots and severe wrinkles. This works to improve skin texture and create an overall more youthful complexion.
Step 3: PIANO
The PIANO mode uses a brushing technique to rapidly heat the deepest layers of the skin to tighten lax skin. This heat works to improve connective tissue and remodel the skin for a firmer, lifted appearance.
Step 4: Superficial
To complete the treatment, a light laser peel is performed to create a pearl-like finish. This stage is designed to address surface-level imperfections, such as pore size and minor lines and wrinkles, to give the skin a youthful glow.
What to expect
Prior to your treatment, we recommend having a consultation at Medical Aestheticsto discuss your skin concerns and procedure expectations, after which we can create a treatment plan.
Fotona 4D treatments take around one hour to complete. As the laser penetrates the skin, you may experience a warming sensation in the treatment area, however, this usually dissipates quickly. Overall, treatments are relatively painless, and, as such, no anaesthetic is required. After your Fotona 4D treatment, you are immediately free to resume your regular activities.
