A Small Change, a Big Difference — The Confidence of a Clear Neck

Story

This patient visited Medical Aesthetics 360° after years of noticing a small, raised mole on the side of the neck.
Although harmless, it often caught on clothing and jewellery, sometimes becoming irritated and red. The patient admitted it had started to bother them more — not only physically, but also aesthetically, as it stood out in photos and when wearing open-collared shirts.

After a detailed consultation and medical clearance by Dr Chun-Yen Huang (MED0001187421), the mole was confirmed to be benign and safe to remove. Because of its depth and a small hair follicle within, Dr Huang explained that careful technique was required to minimise the chance of scarring.

The procedure was performed by a trained therapist under Dr Huang’s supervision, using precision methods to gently remove the raised lesion and smooth the surface. A sterile dressing was applied immediately after treatment, and the patient was guided through a simple recovery plan.

Over the next few days, the area formed a fine protective scab, which naturally detached after five to seven days. As expected, a touch of post-inflammatory pigmentation (PIH) appeared — a normal part of healing that gradually faded with sun protection. Within weeks, the skin looked clean and even, with minimal residual mark and no irritation.

The patient said the improvement felt “life-changing for something so small.”
They were surprised by how simple the process was and how confident they felt afterward — no more snags, no more discomfort, and a clear neckline that looked effortlessly neat.
