Measured change was real, but modest

A prospective Fotona 4D study indexed by PubMed followed 13 Chinese women after four full-face sessions at one-month intervals. Three-dimensional imaging found small vertical changes at several facial landmarks, approximately 0.5 to 0.63 mm in the lateral periorbital measurements at selected follow-ups.

Nasolabial-fold ratings and pore scores also improved at three and six months. The study reported transient redness and swelling, but it had no untreated control group and a very small sample.
