A mole that catches when you shave. A raised spot that rubs on clothing. A facial lesion you would like to understand. Start with a doctor-led assessment and a clear plan for what comes next.
At Medical Aesthetics 360, we assess moles and skin lesions before discussing suitable removal options. Your lesion type, skin tone, treatment area and healing history guide the advice—alongside your concerns about appearance, comfort and scarring.
Mole removal consultations in Chatswood and Hurstville. Suitability is assessed individually; results and healing vary.
Not every lesion is suitable for immediate cosmetic removal. Moles, warts, skin tags and benign-looking lumps can look similar to patients, but they may need different assessment and treatment planning. The goal is to choose a safe, sensible pathway that respects both medical assessment and cosmetic outcome. You do not need to decide on a treatment before your appointment.
Patients often book because a lesion is visible, raised, uncomfortable, irritated by shaving or clothing, or affecting confidence in photos. Cosmetic removal may be appropriate for selected lesions assessed as benign, but suitability is confirmed during consultation.
Explore examples across the lip, hairline, chin and face. Each image shows an individual outcome, not a prediction of how your skin will heal.

Raised lesion example near the scalp margin, where hairline position and healing need consideration.
The chin moves during speaking and eating. Location and wound care are part of the treatment discussion.

A lower-lip example. The visibility and movement of this area make realistic healing expectations important.
These clinical photographs cannot establish your diagnosis or suitability. Treatment method, timing, skin type and aftercare can affect appearance. No removal procedure can guarantee scar-free skin.
Selected lesions can be assessed for suitable removal options across the face, neck, underarms, chest, back, under-breast folds, inner thighs and other areas.
Facial and body moles may be reviewed for cosmetic removal where they appear suitable and medical assessment supports this pathway.
Skin tags and small benign-looking lumps may become uncomfortable when they rub on clothing, jewellery, underarms, neck folds or under-breast areas. Explore skin tag removal.
Warts and raised textural lesions need assessment because treatment choice depends on appearance, location and whether the diagnosis is clear.
Mole removal is not one-size-fits-all. Planning should match the lesion, the body area and the expected healing response.
Tell us how long the lesion has been present and whether it has changed, bled or become irritated. Your doctor reviews the lesion and relevant medical history before recommending a medical or cosmetic pathway.
Discuss the available options, likely benefits, limitations, costs and risks. Method selection considers the lesion’s type, depth and location, your skin tone and any history of raised or persistent scars.
Receive aftercare advice matched to your procedure, including dressing care, what to expect while the skin settles and when to seek review. Your clinician explains who to contact if you have concerns.
Bring your concerns about the mole, your skin and recovery. We will help you understand whether removal is appropriate and what it could involve.
The right method depends on the diagnosis. A raised mole, a flat pigmented spot and a skin tag may need different care.
Once a lesion has been assessed, your clinician can explain whether a cosmetic removal approach is appropriate. If you are enquiring about laser mole removal, ask how the method suits your lesion, what tissue assessment is needed and how the area may heal.
The position matters: the face, brow, lip border, hairline, neck and body each bring different cosmetic and recovery considerations.
An uncertain or suspicious lesion may need biopsy, surgical removal for laboratory examination, or referral. A cosmetic method that destroys tissue may be unsuitable when a diagnosis needs to be established.
Observation may also be appropriate for some benign lesions. Your consultation includes alternatives and the option of not proceeding.

Read case study →Healing varies with the lesion, removal method, location and individual skin response. Pinkness, tenderness, a small wound, dryness or crusting can occur early on. Colour and texture may take longer to settle than the skin surface.
Follow the dressing instructions from your treating clinician. Avoid picking or rubbing the area, and discuss when you can resume makeup, shaving, exercise and your usual skincare.
Read the mole removal aftercare guideThe area may be pink or tender, with a small wound. Keep it protected as instructed.
Dryness, crusting or scabbing may occur, depending on the procedure and dressing. Do not pick.
Colour and texture continue to settle at different rates. Some marks persist for longer.
Sun protection helps protect newly healed skin. Use sunscreen only once the wound has closed, as advised.
Cosmetic-minded treatment aims for a neat result, but any procedure that removes or treats skin can leave a mark. No technique can guarantee a completely scar-free outcome.
Raised, deep or long-standing lesions may heal differently. Highly mobile areas such as the lip need extra planning, and a history of raised scars or pigment changes matters.
Your fee depends on the lesion’s type, size, number and complexity, the removal method and whether further medical assessment is required.
A suitable plan and fee can be discussed after assessment. Ask which consultation, procedure, pathology and follow-up fees apply to your proposed care.
Let your doctor know about changes to the lesion, medicines, previous removal attempts and any history of difficult healing. Discuss your schedule if you have an upcoming event or travel.

No. Some lesions need medical assessment, tissue testing or referral first, particularly if they are changing, irregular, bleeding, crusting, painful or otherwise concerning. Cosmetic removal is considered only when the lesion has been assessed and the proposed method is appropriate.
Selected skin tags, warts and benign-looking lumps can be assessed. The recommended pathway depends on the diagnosis, location, size and healing considerations. Read about skin tag removal.
Any procedure that removes or treats skin can leave a temporary or lasting mark. The aim is to choose an appropriate method and support healing with aftercare. Scar-free removal cannot be guaranteed; skin colour and texture can also change.
Some facial and lip-area lesions may be suitable after assessment. Visibility, movement, lesion depth, the diagnosis and your healing history influence the plan. The photographs above illustrate individual cases, not guaranteed outcomes.
No. The diagnosis comes first. If a lesion needs laboratory examination, a method that destroys tissue may be inappropriate. Your clinician will explain suitable options, including whether biopsy, another removal method, observation or referral is needed.
The timing varies by method, wound size, depth, body area and your skin. Early pinkness or crusting may occur, and colour or texture can take weeks or longer to settle. Your clinician will explain the expected recovery for your procedure. Read the aftercare guide.
