Story
At 35, this patient felt that his acne had long passed, but the reminders had stayed behind. He was most bothered by mixed acne scarring across the cheeks and temples, including boxcar scars, rolling scars, and scattered ice pick scars that became more obvious in overhead lighting and work video calls. He said the texture was something other people may not have noticed straight away, but he noticed it every day — especially when shaving or seeing his reflection from the side.
He wanted treatment that could improve the look of the scars without making his skin look overly treated or unnatural. After consultation, a plan was made using Morpheus8 to target deeper textural irregularity and support skin remodelling beneath the surface. This option was chosen because the scars were not all the same depth or shape, and the goal was to improve the overall quality of the skin while focusing on the uneven terrain left behind by years of acne.
What troubled him most was not one single scar, but the way the whole cheek area looked rougher, older, and less smooth than the rest of his face. He wanted the skin to look stronger, fresher, and more refined — like himself, just without the constant shadow of old breakouts.
Visible Results
Following treatment, the skin looked firmer, smoother, and more even in texture, with the scarred areas appearing less sharply defined. The cheeks reflected light more evenly, which helped soften the visual contrast created by the deeper boxcar and rolling scars. The overall effect was not just about individual marks looking better, but about the skin appearing more polished and more settled as a whole. The result gave his complexion a more refined quality, with less roughness and less of the “tired texture” that had previously stood out in certain angles and lighting.
